"Dessert Imposters" is the second episode in Season 1 of Kids Baking Championship and the 2nd overall. It first aired on February 9th, 2015.[1][2]

Plot[]

Summary[]

After losing 2 competitors from the last challenge, the young bakers receive their newest task after being greeted with the delicious smell of fried chicken. Duff Goldman and Valerie Bertinelli challenge them to create assigned savory items (including pizza, french fries, sushi, spaghetti and meatballs, etc.) with dessert products. An additional challenge is given after the baking has begun to create a side kick item (such as bread sticks) with some suggested items including cookie dough or pie crusts.

Full Plot[]

The six remaining bakers received cards that told them what savory food they needed to make their dessert resemble. Hollis got bagel, Annika got sushi, Payton got pizza, Cody got taco, Natalie got burger, and Jackson got spaghetti. Natalie made her "burger" by using vanilla cupcakes as the buns, a brownie as the meat patty, coconut as lettuce, licorice as tomatoes, and white chocolate as Thousand Island Dressing. For the twist, she made "french fries" by baking apples in powdered sugar. Payton made his "pizza" by using a snickerdoodle cookie as the crust, melted marshmallows as cheese, peanut butter cups as olives, gummies as peppers, and fondant as pepperoni. For the twist, he made "garlic bread" by using pie dough rolled with cinnamon and sugar and baked with icing.
