Plot

Description

Duff Goldman and Valerie Bertinelli are cooking up something unusual in the science lab ... it's the freaky flavor tarts challenge! Each of the seven young bakers must create a large tart featuring a freaky flavor like jalapeno, goat cheese, yuzu, pink peppercorn, anise, blue cheese or curry.

Summary

The bakers had to make a tart with an assigned freaky flavor. They were: yuzu (Paige), jalapeño (Nyah), blue cheese (Karthik), goat cheese (Davis), anise (Meadow), curry (Jaxon), and pink peppercorn (Madison). The twist was they had to incorporate milk chocolate.

Full Plot

Davis made a Sablé tart with a milk chocolate goat cheese pastry cream and caramelized pears. Karthik made a walnut crust tart with a pear pastry cream, caramelized pears, and blue cheese crumbles.
