Kids Baking Championship(KBC) is a competitive reality baking program produced by Levity Entertainment Group for the Food Network. During a season, the children aged 8 to 13 compete to make the best dish, and are judged on presentation, taste, and creativity each week. So far, all the twelve seasons of the series have been hosted and judged by actress Valerie Bertinelli[1] and baker Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes. In 2022, the show was nominated for an Emmy.
Most seasons have had twelve contestants, while some have had as few as eight. Most of the contestants come from the USA. There are several episodes, usually 7 to 10, in every season. In every episode, one or two contestant is eliminated.[2] At last, one winner is chosen from the finalists. In every season but the first one, the prizes awarded along with the title of 'Kids Baking Champion' have been $25,000 in cash.[3] Sometimes holiday specials are also held, where contestants of previous seasons compete together.
12 seasons and 13 holiday specials of Kids Baking Championship have been held so far. A list of episodes of the KBC can be seen at the end of this page.[4]
