"Pie à La Mode" is the first episode of Season 2 of Kids Baking Championship and the 5th overall. It first took place on January 4th, 2016.[1][2]

Plot[]

Description[]

For kickoff to the Kids Baking Championship, get ready to eat pies! For their first challenge, Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Goldman ask the 10 best kid bakers in the country to elevate classic pies to an art form, but what's pie without homemade ice cream?[3]

Summary[]

Season 2 began with a pie challenge, in which the 10 kid bakers must create the right balance of crust and filling. But that's not all. They are asked to make a flavored ice cream from scratch, to go with their baked treats.

Full Plot[]

Jane made her grandma Jean's Pecan Pie. For the twist, she made vanilla ice cream with chocolate shavings in it. Alex A. made a Chocolate Cream Pie. For the twist, he made a cinnamon ice cream.
